Boo Bevo

Well, THE day is only two days away. Since that damn football crossed the uprights late last year in Arlington, TX, Nebraska fans worldwide have been salivating at the opportunity to get another shot at them.

The story is about a complete 180 from what it was last year. They're the unranked underdog. They traded in a heroic Colt McCoy for a strangely flimsy offensive line. They talk of the respect they have for this 'explosive' Nebraska team. Mack Brown is acting...humble.

But you know what? They still have that nasty steer on the sidelines, their band still looks like deranged and colorblind singing cowboys, their fans still can't name half of the starting players, and Mack Brown still sticks his nose up in the air just right.

They're still Texas.

And the score was still 13-12.

One point.

One second.

Until there's a new score we can dwell on, we'll keep chewing on that one measly point that left a sick feeling in everyone's stomach that night.

I hope Nebraska rolls all over the Longhorns, but I'm not naive enough to think that it's going to be easy. Texas comes in with panicked motivation off of two losses.

Damn I love college football on weekends like this. This is why we love the game.

GBR.
